Movement, Anatomy and Acting for Animators
I currently teach Movement for Animators on two professional animation courses, the PG Dip in Character Animation at Central St Martin’s College of Art and Design (part of the University of the Arts London) and the Diploma in 3D Animation at Qantm College London. In 2005 I began developing and teaching the UK’s first syllabus in movement for animators, which has now expanded to encompass anatomy and acting for animators. My approach is firmly based on Laban’s system of movement analysis, but also draws on clowning, film studies and on the traditions of British actor training.

Testimonials
Birgitta Hosea: Course leader, London Animation Studio
… extremely well-planned and researched…Our whole staff team was extremely pleased with the resulting animation that students who attended Kitty's workshops produced. During the final assessments many of the students commented on how useful the workshops and one-to-one sessions had been.
Daniel Bielawski: Character Animator
“I found Kitty’s teachings particularly helpful when I was asked to design and animate distinctly different movement styles for a range of species on a mmrp game I was working on. Using some of what I learnt from Kitty, I was able to simply categorize the movement types to fit the characteristics of each race in the game.”
